Chalk Road Hope
Yen Son - Tuyen Quang

Tuyên Quang is Chalk Road’s Season 3 project in northern Vietnam, focusing on empowering students at Yên Sơn Ethnic Minority Boarding Lower Secondary School. Nestled in the remote mountains of Tuyên Quang province, the school is home to more than 420 students from 13 different ethnic groups.

This project brings together passionate volunteers to deliver educational workshops, mentorship, and community-building activities aimed at inspiring confidence, broadening horizons, and nurturing leadership skills among young learners. Beyond classrooms, we work to improve the school’s learning environment and support the well-being of both students and teachers.

By combining hands-on learning with genuine care, the Tuyên Quang Project represents Chalk Road’s commitment to creating meaningful, sustainable change for underserved communities in Yên Sơn.

The project also donated 310 new mattresses for the dormitories, hundreds of books and stories in both Vietnamese and English, as well as sports equipment such as footballs, volleyballs, badminton sets, and art supplies to support learning and creativity — with a total value of 110 million VND.
