On October 18, Chalk Road recently conducted a survey trip to Thanh Hoa Province, focusing on two public schools: Thanh Kim Primary School and Thanh Kim Secondary School. The aim was to assess the current conditions, identify challenges, and understand the needs of these schools to enhance educational outcomes. The survey trip to Thanh Kim Primary and Secondary Schools highlighted critical challenges that these institutions face, including inadequate facilities, a lack of educational resources, and limited access to technology. Addressing these issues is essential for improving the academic environment and enhancing student outcomes in the Thanh Hoa region. Moving forward, Chalk Road aims to collaborate with local authorities and communities to develop strategies that address these challenges effectively in the academic year 2024 - 2025 and more.

Thanh Kim Primary School

Facilities: The primary school has basic infrastructure; however, there are significant deficiencies in educational resources. Classrooms are often overcrowded, and there is a lack of essential teaching materials such as books, stationery, and educational technology.
Challenges:
- Resource Shortages: Teachers reported difficulties in providing a comprehensive education due to inadequate learning materials.
- Physical Infrastructure: Many classrooms lack proper ventilation and lighting, making it uncomfortable for students, especially during hotter months.
- Community Support: While the local community is supportive, there are limited funds available for school improvements and resources.

Thanh Kim Secondary School

Facilities: Similar to the primary school, Thanh Kim Secondary School faces many challenges. The school is equipped with basic facilities, but there are notable gaps in specialized classrooms, such as science labs and computer rooms.
Challenges:
- Limited Access to Technology: There is a significant lack of computers and internet access, hindering students' ability to engage with modern learning methods.
- Extracurricular Opportunities: The absence of sports and arts facilities restricts students’ overall development and engagement outside of academic subjects.
- Teacher Resources: There are challenges in recruiting qualified teachers for certain subjects, which affects the quality of education.

The survey trip revealed that both Thanh Kim Primary and Secondary Schools face significant challenges that hinder their ability to provide quality education. Key issues include inadequate facilities, a lack of educational resources, and limited access to technology but at the same time students here have potential talent in various sports like volleyball, badminton, football but lack self confidence. By working together with the schools and the local community, Chalk Road hopes to foster a more conducive learning environment and improve educational outcomes for students in Thanh Hoa.
